Dr. rer. nat. Chi Tai Dang
I am a Research Associate and Lecturer in Computer Science (i.e., Human-Computer Interaction) at the Augsburg University, Germany. At the Lab for Human-Centered Multimedia of the department of computer science, I work on projects covering Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Homes, Multi-Surface Environments, Surface / Tabletop Computing, Computer Vision, Mobile Applications and Interactions, and related topics.
I received my PhD in Computer Science from the Augsburg University (2016). Before my doctorate, I received a Master’s degree from the University of Ulm, Germany and a Diploma from the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, Germany.
During my study, I interned at Fujitsu Siemens Computers GmbH, Enterprise ServerManagement, and worked for nearly 6 years (~60% of fulltime) at Fujitsu Siemens Computers GmbH, in various departments in the field of software engineering / development for server software, xml document transformation, embedded software, pocket pc, plattform independent solutions, and many other topics.
Some of the skills that I could develop and intensified at Fujitsu Siemens through practical application are .NET, .NETCF, XML, XSL[-T][-FO], XSD – XPath, Audio, DirectSound/Music, Streaming, Debian, LAMP, Networks, Distributed Systems, Embedded Systems, Mobile Devices, User Interfaces, or User Interaction.
In addition to that, I have lot of fun with (and am experienced in) the usual suspects of programming/developer skills such as C, C++, Java, HTML, CSS, Ajax, Restful APIs, Python, Perl, Tcl/Tk, PHP, Objective-C, Swift, WPF, SQL, PL-SQL, OpenGL, OpenCV, DirectX, DirectSound, Android SDK / NDK, Apple iOS/macOS, Usability Engineering / Testing, User Experience, Agile Methods, Scrum, Bash scripting, and many others.
